July 4th

We had big plans for July 4th, but we knew Ty was on call. We decided to go ahead and do what we had planned. So we got on the Lightrail and headed up to Indian Steel park. It was really fun riding and this was mine and Eden's first time. Of course some weirdo sat across from us and invited us to a drag party. What do we look like? It made me wonder. It was good to get off. As soon as we got into the park Ty got called out and I was on my own with the kids for the rest of the night. There was a car show going on and Adam had to get some pictures of the A-Team van and the Ghostbuster cars. We then stood in line for the ATM because I forgot my cash. That took a ridiculous amount of time! We found the splash zone after that. The kids got wet and muddy (who thinks of this stuff?) We waited in line again to get snow cones. Then we found a good place to watch the fireworks near the park exit. We had a fabulous time! The pictures are a little dark, but some of them turned out great. The fireworks started at almost 9pm. Then back on the Lightrail to go home. It was almost 11 when we got home. I was super tired after all the walking and watching after the kids.
